Tony's favourite recipes

Chicken Tika Masala
Time:- 30 mins Servings: 3-4 Source from: Lorraine's quick food on the BBC


250g Basmati rice
Curry powder to colour the rice
2 Chicken breast(s)
Spring onions
2 cloves of garlic
2 cm piece of ginger
350ml single cream
200gm tomato puree
4 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp mustard
Salt and pepper


1. Put rice in pan and add 1-1cm water. Add a little curry powder to colour the rice. Bring to the boil and then simmer
2. Good drizzle of oil in a deep frying pan on low-ish heat.
3. Chop chicken breasts into large-ish pieces and throw into frying pan cooking until caramelised.
4. Chop the spring onions
5. Chop the garlic
6. Chop and grate the ginger
7. When the chicken is going brown add spring onions, garlic and ginger
8. Add 350ml single cream
9. Add 200gm tomato puree
10. Add 4 tbsp of garam masala
11. Add 1 tbsp paprika
12. Add 1 tsp mustard
13. Season with salt and pepper
